Salicylic acid cleansers have a reputation for aggression — stripping oil, tightening pores, and leaving skin so dry it overcompensates with even more sebum by lunchtime. COSRX rejected that approach entirely. A 0.5% salicylic acid formula calibrated for daily use, strong enough to keep pores clear and breakouts at bay, gentle enough that your barrier never pays the price.

The lather is soft and slightly creamy, nothing like the harsh, medicinal foam that most BHA cleansers produce. It washes away excess oil and dead skin cells without dismantling the moisture barrier underneath. Acne management through consistency, not brutality.

Dampen face with lukewarm water. Squeeze a small amount onto wet palms and work into a gentle lather. Massage across the face for fifteen to twenty seconds, focusing on areas prone to congestion. Rinse thoroughly. Use morning and evening. Always follow with SPF in the morning — salicylic acid increases photosensitivity.
